If a VA student withdraws from all courses at the institution, reducing his or her credit load to 0, you must complete the Termination section of VA Form 22-1999b in VA-ONCE. You must report the actual last date the student attended the educational institution.

The following are examples of termination that are shown on the VA Form 22-1999b:

• Withdrawal or interruption (noncollege)
• Withdrawal during drop period
• Withdrawal after drop period - punitive grades assigned
• End of term or course
• Unsatisfactory attendance, conduct, or progress
• Withdrawal before beginning of term
• Withdrawal after drop period - nonpunitive grades assigned
