Clock Hours
A clock hour is a full 60-minute period of classroom, laboratory, or shop instruction for non-college degree programs. This time does not include any scheduled break (vacation) period.

For programs that do not lead to a standard college degree and that VA does not measure on a credit-hour basis, you must show the clock hours of enrollment per week on VA Form 22-1999.

Do not enter the total number of clock hours approved for the program.

If the clock hours vary each week, certify the beginning and ending dates on the enrollment certification and submit a calendar to VA showing the clock hours per week (week is defined as Sunday to Saturday).
